The Brown County contingent was recently announced for the second annual Big Country Chevy Dealer’s FCA All-Star Festival, which will take place June 12-14 in Brownwood, Abilene and San Angelo.

Brownwood participants include Keeta Vaccaro in girls basketball, Seth Owen in baseball, Alyson Finnigan in softball and Dylan Lewis in football and Abby Adams, who will cheer at the events in Brownwood,

Chosen to take part from Early were Chase Riker in boys basketball, J.W. Ledbetter in baseball, Janae Williams in softball and Keith Clardy and Jakob Morgan in football.

Bangs student-athlete who received invitations include Kassidy Adams, Kinsie Ward and Cheyanne Lovelady in volleyball, Chuy Alvarado in baseball, J.T. Newton and Josh Truelove in football, Jaylee Roberts in softball, and Kady Kyle, who will cheer at the Abilene events.

In January it was revealed that Brownwood’s Josh Alcorn has been chased as head coach for the South boys basketball team, Bangs’ Colleen Westfall was selected as head coach for the South volleyball team and Early’s Kent Hawthorne would serve as an assistant on the South football staff.

For the second year in a row, the Brownwood Coliseum will be the host site for the second annual All-Star Boys Basketball Game and the sixth annual All-Star Girls Basketball Game, both presented by Action Sports Medicine.

The second annual All-Star Girls Volleyball Game, presented by Abilene Regional Medical Center at Abilene Christian University’s Moody Coliseum, will be held Saturday, June 14.

Also on June 14, the annual Myrle Greathouse All-Star Football Classic will again be held at Shotwell Stadium.

Added to the mix this summer will be the inaugural All-Star Softball and All-Star Baseball games, slated for Friday, June 13 in San Angelo. With the addition of those two contests, more than 250 student-athletes and 30 coaches will take part in FCA weekend activities.
