Linda Lee Clowdus, 69, of Brownwood passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 at Senior Care of Brownwood after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Services for Linda will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at Coggin Ave. Baptist Church with Bill Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Blaylock Funeral Home.

Linda was born to William Thomas Rampy and Georgia Lee Rampy in Abilene on Aug. 12, 1944. The family moved to Brownwood when she was 3-years-old. Linda graduated from Brownwood High in 1962. In 1960, Ken Clowdus came to Howard Payne. While a student at HPU, he worked at Swartz Café where he first met Linda. During her senior year of high school, Linda and Ken started dating. After high school she attended HPU for one year and then began working for the Texas Department of Transportation District Office. In January 1964, Ken and Linda married. She worked for TxDOT until retirement in 1994.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 50 years, Ken Clowdus; two children, daughter Mindy Lee Smallwood and husband John, and son, Brook Allen Clowdus and wife Kimberly; four grandchildren, Katelyn Smallwood, J.T. Smallwood, Chloe Clowdus, and Kelsey Franks; one great-grandchild, Aubree; one sister, Becky Dalrymple and husband Gary; sister-in-law, Gail Fletcher and husband Dale, and sister-in-law Martha Clowdus and husband J.R. Clowdus. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
