GATESVILLE — The Brownwood Lady Lions began the second half of District 34-4A soccer action just as they did the first — with a resounding victory over Gatesville.

The Lady Lions collected a 7-0 road win over the Lady Hornets Friday night to improve to 5-1 in district competition and 10-4-2 overall.

Brownwood tallied three first half goals — by Alex Bernal, Alexis Mosqueda and an own goal.

In the second half, Kayli Waddle scored with an assist from Josie McClung; Tori Sanchez found the net with an assist from Mosqueda; Mosqueda chalked up her second goal with an assist from Josie Borgia; and Jennifer Martinez closed the scoring.
