You dropped your earrings.

That's what a police officer told a woman Saturday in the 1800 block of Belle Plain after the officer was dispatched on a report that a woman was trying to sell prescription narcotics.

The officer located the woman in the parking lot of a business, and the woman appeared to be nervous, police said. The woman dropped a pair of star-shaped earrings, and when she reached down to retrieve them, the officer saw a white oblong pill in her hand.

The woman said she'd received the pill from an individual and did not know what it was. Police identified the pill as hyrdrocodone. Police arrested Lucy Ogden, 39, of Brownwood, on a Class A misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance.
