When you're from a small town like Morgan Mill, everyone knows your name. And when you're trying to make it in the music industry the more people who know your name the better, especially when you're trying to get votes.
That's what local resident and contestant on season 6 of NBC's The Voice Sam Behymer is facing. And while Behymer isn't putting out the call for votes just yet, she's already got many in Erath County buzzing with excitement.
The Voice is a reality singing competition that finds new talent through a contest of aspiring singers (age 15 and older) who are chosen based solely on their voices. Four celebrity coaches pick team members without ever seeing the contestants. After the selection process, winners are determined by viewers who vote through phone, Internet, texting, social media and iTunes purchases of the performances.
Behymer said on Facebook that she will be featured on the auditions for The Voice airing from 7-9 p.m. on NBC Monday and Tuesday nights, but she isn't sure when. She isn't allowed to let anyone know if she turns a chair during her audition.
So be sure and follow along during the next few weeks to spot Behymer, cheer for those chairs to turn and possibly vote for her as the season progresses.
