Carren Moore and Sam Bowden were united in marriage at 12:20 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, in a midnight ceremony. Family and friends gathered at the couple’s home for the backyard wedding with Pastor David Barnum of Grosvenor Baptist Church officiating.
Carren is the daughter of Garland and the late Glenda Bailey of Brownwood. Sam is the son of Bill and Diane Bowden of May.
Escorted and given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a two-piece ivory satin floor-length gown accented with floral lace and opalescent beading. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of ivory roses. The couple exchanged vows beneath a black archway entwined with lights, greenery and ivory roses. Accenting the archway were matching heart candelabras with greenery, ivory roses and candles on either side.
The daughters of the bride, Staci Moore of Kingsville and Emily Moore of Brownwood, were both maids of honor. They were attired in a strapless tea-length dress of satin in a realtree camouflage pattern. Each wore wristlets of ivory roses and brown ribbons. The flower girl was Emily Bowden of Coleman, granddaughter of the groom.
The best man was Brandon Bowden of Coleman, son of the groom. The groomsman was Sasha Lauren of Brownwood, friend of the groom.
A brisket dinner reception was held prior to the wedding ceremony at the couple’s home.
Carren is employed as a veterinary technician at Small Animal Medical Center in Brownwood. Sam is employed as a Respiratory Therapist at Brownwood Regional Medical Center in Brownwood.
