Brittany Rose McHan and Kristopher Charles Culverhouse recited their wedding vows at a formal wedding ceremony held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, in Bangs at the bride’s parents home. The couple were married earlier this year at a private ceremony held on Thursday, March 11, 2010.

    Brittany is the daughter of Richard and Judy McHan of Bangs. She is the granddaughter of Joyce McHan of Abilene and the late Kelle Richard McHan, and Faye Scutt of Albuquerque, N.M., and the late Wayne A. Scutt. Brittany is a 2005 graduate of Bangs High School. She is employed at the Brownwood Bulletin as a website technician and newsroom clerk.

    Kris is the son of Kim and Tim Murray of Early and Kurt and Pam Culverhouse of Laguna Vista. He is the grandson of Letha Hood of Chickasha, Okla., Braunette Murray of Blanket and the late James H. Murray, and Evelin Maryfield of Lake Brownwood, and the late Charles Culverhouse. Kris is a 2005 graduate of Early High School. He is employed at Superior Essex as an operator.

    Brittany was given away by her father, Richard McHan. Brandon Culverhouse, brother of the groom, served as the officiant. Flower girl was Kylie McHan and ring bearer was Ethan McHan, niece and nephew of the bride.

    Judy McHan served as her daughter’s wedding planner. Kim and Tim Murray, parents of the groom, provided and prepared the rehearsal dinner for the wedding party.

    The couple went on a week-long honeymoon trip, staying at the Sapphire Spa and Condominiums on South Padre Island. The honeymoon trip was a gift to the couple from the groom’s parents, Kurt and Pam Culverhouse.

    Kris and Brittany Culverhouse now happily reside in their new home in Early.
