Brownwood police have taken numerous reports on counterfeit bills being passed at area banks and businesses the past several weeks, and a woman was arrested Wednesday on allegations of passing three of the bills.
    Christy Rains, 39, of Rising Star, was arrested on three warrants for forgery of government/national instrument/money/security, Brown County Jail records state.
    Rains is free on bonds totaling $30,000.
    She is accused of passing a counterfeit $20 bill in a fast food restaurant on Jan. 27, another $20 bill in a bank on Jan. 30 and a third $20 bill in a retail store on Jan. 30, police said.
     Additional details were unavailable.
    Others booked into the Brown County Jail between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday were:

    Luke Hopkins, 34, Brownwood, parole violation.
    Eric Howard, 29, Comanche, failure to appear for possession of marijuana.
    Roy Peel, 52, Brownwood, possession of marijuana.
    Zachary Radenz, 26, Brownwood, DWI.
    Robert Rodriguez, 21, Brownwood, driving with invalid license.
    Lonnie Smith, 37, Zephyr, bond withdrawal for aggravated assault, motion to revoke for DWI.
