Investigators with the Texas Attorney General Office’s Child Exploitation Unit arrested a Brownwood man on three counts of possession of child pornography after serving a search warrant at his Brownwood home Wednesday morning.
    Robert Odean Fry, 54, of Brownwood, was booked into the Brown County Jail on the charges and is free on bonds totaling $30,000, jail records state.
    Fry’s home is in the 1000 block of West Commerce.
    According to a press release from the attorney general’s office:
    Following a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, investigators executed a search warrant at Fry’s residence, where pornographic images of children were found on his cell phone.
    Fry confessed to downloading and saving images to his phone, the attorney general’s office alleged in the press release. Investigators seized the phone for further examination by the Digital Forensics Unit of the attorney general’s office.     Possession of child pornography is a is a third-degree felony, and Fry could face up to 10 years in prison per charge if convicted.
