The Arts Council of Brownwood announced Monday the Second Annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, May 5 on Center Avenue in historic downtown Brownwood.

There will be food and craft vendors, an area for dancing, and many free games and activities for children, including several piñatas throughout the evening, as well as other activities and contests.

The main entertainment for the evening will include Mariachi Los Toros, from Austin, who will be back again this year. They will perform in the Lyric Theatre, and will also serenade at a couple of downtown restaurants. This year, the celebration will also include México 2000 Ballet Folklórico from Dallas, who will also perform in the Lyric. All performances in the Lyric will be free to the public.
