A 65-year-old Brownwood man remained in the Brown County Jail Monday on drug and other charges after his vehicle got hung up in a bar ditch Saturday night while while fleeing from a traffic stop, Brownwood police said.
    Roy Ferguson was booked on charges of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance over 4 grams under 200 grams, evading arrest with a vehicle and evidence tampering, jail records state.
    Police seized 17 grams of methamphetamine, Lt. Randall Krpoun said.
    Police initiated a traffic stop of Ferguson’s vehicle at 9 p.m. in the 3600 block of South U.S. 377, police said. The driver “attempted to flee, but crashed in the 3300 block of County Road 234,” a police report states.

    • Police arrested a woman on a marijuana charge following a traffic stop Friday.
    • Police responded to a domestic disturbance Saturday in the 1100 block of Oakland, where a woman said her daughter assaulted her.
    • Police made a marijuana arrest Saturday after a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Indian Creek.
