Brownwood police released detail Wednesday on the arrest of a man who allegedly fired several shots inside his home Monday night, frightening a family member and damaging adjacent property.
    Michael Baccus, 40, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, deadly conduct and possession of marijuana, Brown County Jail records state. Baccus is free on bonds totaling $46,500.
    According to an email from Brownwood police:
    Officers responded at 10:40 p.m. to the 1000 block of Santa Clara on a report of several gunshots in the area.
    Officers were directed to a home where it was believed the shorts were fired, and the homeowner met officers at the front door. An investigation revealed the man had fired several guns inside the home, and officers arrested the man.
     “This was a frightening ordeal to an otherwise quiet neighborhood and we are thankful that no one was injured by a stray bullet,” police said via email.
    Others booked into the Brown County Jail between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Wednesday were:

    Brant Roach, 45, Brownwood, theft of firearm.
    Dala Scheriger, 20, Goldthwaite, bond forfeiture for theft.
    Tamara Sosa, 29, Brownwood, theft by check.
    Javier Carbajal, 33, May, DWI.
    Amy Gilmore, 33, Brownwood, assault.
    Steven Robles, 41, Austin, bond forfeitures for DWI and driving with invalid license.
