Cameron Deal will serve 120 days in the Brown County Jail for violating his probation as a sex offender by coaching youth baseball.
Deal, 22, will remain on deferred adjudication probation, but District Judge Steve Ellis modified Deal’s probation Monday and ordered him to serve the jail term.
Ellis ordered Deal to serve the first 30 days continuously and the remaining 90 days on weekends.
Deal was arrested May 4 on a motion to adjudicate after authorities learned he’d been coaching in the Brownwood Freshman League 14U Little League.
Deal attended school is Bangs and Brownwood, authorities said.
Deal was placed on eight years deferred adjudication in February 2016 for sexual assault of a child, court documents state. Deal was accused by indictment of having sex with a girl under 17 on May 16, 2013.
The motion to adjudicate alleged Deal violated his probation in four ways:
    • Failed to comply with sex offender registration.
    • Had contact with children under the age of 17 without prior approval from the probation department.
    • Frequented places where children under 17 congregate.
    • Volunteered in an activity requiring unsupervised contact with children under 17.
