The Brownwood Regional Medical Center Volunteers are pleased to announce that JoAnn Goodwin, a BRMC Volunteer, has been installed as the President of the Texas Association of Healthcare Volunteers (TAHV) for the 2017 – 2018 Volunteer Year.

Goodwin became President on Saturday, May 27, during the 2017 TAHV State Convention held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriot located in The Woodlands.

The Texas Association of Healthcare Volunteers is comprised of volunteers from 237 medical facilities throughout the State of Texas. The organization has 10 member districts across the state. The BRMC Volunteer Organization is a member of TAHV District 6.

Goodwin joined the BRMC Volunteers in May of 2005 and has contributed over 16,400 hours of volunteer service at BRMC. She served as President of the BRMC Volunteers in 2011-2012 and 2015-2016. She has served as the District Representative from TAHV District 6 since 2010. She currently is the Chairperson of the BRMC Day Surgery / Outpatient Registration Waiting Volunteer Service Area having served in this area of responsibility since 2011. She also serves a member of the BRMC Scholarship Committee.

The BRMC Volunteers are always excited to meet area individuals who are interested in becoming a Volunteer and they are actively soliciting new members. If you have an interest in serving others a minimum of 6 to 8 hours per month, BRMC Volunteering will meet your needs.
