Kelly Crenshaw, pastor of New Beginnings Church in Brownwood, invites the public to a catfish dinner from 5-7 p.m. Friday that will serve as a fundraiser for the Brownwood House of Refuge, a homeless shelter the church plans to open.
The dinner will be at the Salvation Army, 403 Lakeway in Brownwood.
    Plates are $10 each.
“Come get a great catfish dinner with all the trimmings, and hear what we've already been doing as well as the vision for the future for reaching and helping the homeless and less fortunate in our community,” the church said on its website.
“Partner with us as we engage our culture and provide a community service. This is a fundraiser supper and all will have an opportunity to participate in giving.”
