EARLY — Early police have talked to several people but still have no suspects in the vandalism that that occurred Sunday night and Monday.
    Someone spray-painted obscenities and lines across four mobile homes and three vehicles along the 100 block of Northline Drive, the police department said on its Facebook page.
    Sometime Monday afternoon, someone spray-painted lines on a movie screen at Regal Theaters at Heartland Mall, causing severe damage to the screen.
    Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call the Early Police Department at 325-646-5322.
    In other recent incidents:
    • Deputy Carlyle Gover arrested Rebecca McCoy, 24, of Abilene, on charges of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of marijuana.
    According to Gover’s report:
    Gover and investigator Robert Ramirez, working as a two-man unit Wednesday, made a traffic stop in the 600 block of West Commerce. McCoy was a passenger in the vehicle, and the driver denied consent to search.
    After the investigators called for the Early Police Department’s K-9 unit, McCoy said her purse contained a handgun and drugs. The investigators recovered 3.25 grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana and a derringer-type handgun.
    McCoy is a convicted felon and is not allowed to possess a firearm, Gover’s report states.
    • Brownwood officer Ray Slayton responded Tuesday to the 1000 block of Vine on a theft call. Two suspects were identified.
    • Officer Gary Villalpando arrested Gregory Luschen, 58, of Brownwood, on a charge of driving with an invalid license after a traffic stop Tuesday in the 900 block of Poindexter.
    • Cpl. Jesse Mares responded Monday to the 3300 block of Stephen F. Austin on a report of a stolen license plate.
    • Officer Noe Acosta arrested Dakota Carrasco, 26, of Santa Anna, on an assault charge after a domestic disturbance Wednesday in the 1300 block of Avenue J.
    • Officer Roberto Rodriguez arrested Derek Crawford, 26, of Brownwood, on a possession of marijuana charge after a traffic stop Wednesday in the 1000 block of First.
