A directive to apprehend will be sought against a Brownwood juvenile in connection with a hit-and-run accident in which a truck the girl was driving struck a house, police said.
According to Brownwood officer Sky Self’s report:
Self was dispatched Friday night to the 2500 block of First, where a Ford F-150 pickup struck a back bedroom of a home. Witnesses saw the truck leave the area.
Self followed up on a tip giving the truck’s location. Self saw damage to the truck, and a female stepped forward and claimed to have been driving when it struck the house. Self learned the female was actually a passenger and was trying to cover for the driver, an unlicensed juvenile.
The juvenile told Self she lost control of the truck after turning a corner and the truck struck the house. The girl said she fled out of fear of the consequences.
     In other incidents:
    • Officer Ray Slayton responded Sunday to the 1600 block of Ninth on a criminal mischief call.
    • Officer Gary Villalpando responded Saturday to Walmart, where he issued a theft citation.
