EARLY — Early school board members and Superintendent Wes Beck began hearing community input Monday night on a possible “Guardian Program” at the school district, which would mean some staff members would be armed.
A small crowd gathered for what the district termed a “town hall meeting” at the beginning of the regularly scheduled school board member. Several spoke — some expressing support, others making more general comments and saying data is needed to show the district would be safer with the program.
Beck told audience members there have not been any incidents leading to the discussion but the district wants to be proactive.
