Brownwood police cited a woman for theft under $100 Sunday at Walmart after employees saw the woman take unpaid-for items to the service desk to return them for a cash refund.
    The suspect was released at the scene.
    The incident was one of numerous thefts and other offenses including:
    • Cpl. Jesse Mares was dispatched Monday to Walmart, where he cited a man for theft under $100.
    • Officer Noe Acosta cited a woman for possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop Monday at Fourth and Indian Creek.
    • Cpl. Jesse Mares cited a man for theft under $100 Monday at Walmart.
    • In another Walmart theft, Mares cited a woman for theft under $100.
    • Officer Chandra Means was dispatched to the 2400 block of Songbird Circle, where a resident said several items were stolen from her apartment.
    • Officer Paul Chrisman responded Friday to the 1500 block of Magnolia on a theft call.
    • Officer Jared Spohn was dispatched Friday to the 3200 block  of Stephen F. Austin on a theft call.
    • Means took a report at the Law Enforcement Center from a fraud victim who reported a Discovery card had used to buy items at Walmart.
    • Officer Kris Salazar cited a woman for theft under $100 Friday at Walmart.
    • Salazar took a theft report in another Walmart case Friday.
    • Officer Roberto Rodriguez responded Friday to the 2300 block of First on a domestic disturbance.
    • Rodriguez was dispatched Saturday to the 3300 block of Stephen V. Austin for burglary of a vehicle.
    • Officer Robert Lehman was dispatch Friday to the 600 block of North Fisk, where police received multiple calls on a report of public intoxication and possible assault.
    • Spohn was dispatched Saturday to the 1000 block of Fisk, where he arrested Terry Shade Jr., 34, of Brownwood, on a criminal mischief charge.
    • Cpl. Brandon Miller was dispatched Saturday to Walmart, where he arrested Nichole Sanchez, 35, of May, on a criminal trespass charge.
    • Spohn responded Saturday to Walmart and arrested Troy Crouch Jr., 36, of Walmart, on a criminal trespass charge and on a McLennan County warrant for motion to revoke.
    • Sphon was dispatched Saturday to the 900 block of Vine on a graffiti report.
    • Means responded Saturday to the 1300 block of Avenue H, were juveniles were seen trying to break into a residence.
    • Chrisman was dispatched Friday to the 2700 block of Southside for burglary of a vehicle.
    • Rodriguez arrested Joel Smith, 30, of Brownwood, on charges of possession of marijuana and evidence tampering after a traffic stop Saturday.
    • Lehman was dispatched Sunday to the 1000 block of Cordell on a domestic disturbance call and arrested Xavier Barron, 18, of Brownwood, on an assault charge.
    • Officer Ian Baker was dispatched Sunday to the 1100 block of First on a domestic disturbance call.
    • Cpl. Brandon Johnson was dispatched Sunday to the 7-Eleven store at 3801 Fourth, where he cited a woman for trying to leave with a bottle of alcohol.
    • Rodriguez arrested Patricia Cody, 40, of Coleman, on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and driving with an invalid license after a traffic stop Sunday in the 2100 block of Slayden.
