A 30-year-old Zephyr man is free on bonds totaling $100,000 after he was arrested Friday on allegations that he had sexual contact with two underage girls over the summer.
Brannon Reiger was arrested on four warrants for sexual assault of two girls under the age of 17 and on a fifth warrant for witness tampering, Brown County Jail records state.
A woman told Texas Ranger Jason Shea she saw text messages on her teen daughter’s cell phone that indicated she was having a sexual relationship with a 30-year-old man, a complaint filed by Shea in Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 Jim Cavanaugh’s office states.
Reiger admitted he had a sexual relationship with the girl. Reiger said the girl had claimed to be 17 and he believed her. Reiger also told Shea he’d had sexual contact with a second girl.
The second girl had been contacted by several people including Reiger and had been told not to tell the truth about her and Reiger’s relationship, Shea’s complaint states.
