EARLY — Early police provided more details Monday on the police department’s social media post last week in which police said they were trying to locate a man named Shawn Brantley.
Brantley was wanted for questioning for crimes in Early and has outstanding warrants in several states, the post said.
    Police said via email Monday:
Officers responded Thursday to the 400 block of Early Boulevard, where a male and a female had stolen the keys to four vehicles. The vehicles were located on two car lots.
Officers began searching for the couple and located the female in Brownwood. Amanda Eason, 39, was arrested on outstanding traffic and failure to appear warrants and taken to the Brown county jail.
The male who was with Eason was identified as Brantley but was not located. Brantley had outstanding warrants from several counties and another state.
Police learned Friday a pickup had been stolen, and one of the keys stolen Thursday went to that vehicle. The pickup was later located on I-20 just west of Weatherford by a friend of the victim who saw the post on social media.
DPS responded and recovered the vehicle.
It was also learned a pickup was stolen from Weatherford just down the road from where the stolen vehicle from Early was located. Video surveillance showed a suspect possibly matching the description of Brantley.
Weatherford police are conducting investigation on the vehicle stolen there. Warrants are expected to be requested this week for Brantley in Brown County.
Brantley has full sleeve tattoo on his arms and a crown tattoo above his right eye, police said.
Anyone with information on Brantley’s location is asked to call the Early Police Department or the law enforcement dispatch center at 325-646-2525.
