Brown County Sheriff’s deputies released a report Wednesday on the seizure of 11 grams of methamphetamine last week and the arrest of a Brownwood man accused of possessing the drugs.
    Eugene Bishop, 42, was booked into the Brown County Jail Friday on a charge of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, jail records state. Bishop remains jailed in lieu of $30,000 bond.
    According to a report by Chief Deputy of Enforcement James Stroope:
    Stroope, received information from a confidential source about a car traveling from Austin back to Brownwood. Stroope traveled on U.S. Highway 183 South and saw the car pass him headed south.
    Stroope saw traffic violations and made a traffic stop, spoke with the driver and seized the methamphetamine from the driver, identified as Bishop, Stroope’s report states.
