Sheriff’s deputies, assisted by Brownwood police, seized 90 grams of methamphetamine and arrested three people after serving a search and arrest warrant Wednesday morning at a Bangs residence.
    Deputies with the sheriff's office's tactical team and investigator Carlyle Gover, along with the Brownwood officers, also seized a small amount of black tar heroin and marijuana at the residence in the 1200 block of Gant Street, a sheriff’s office press release states.
    The press release identified those arrested as Steven Hernandez, 55, Armando Garza, 41, and Garza’s girlfriend, Josephine Flores, 36. All three were charged with possession of a controlled substance over 4 grams less than 200 grams in a drug free zone. Garza and Flores were also charged with possession of a controlled substance under 1 gram and possession of marijuana under 2 ounces.
    The home is within 1,000 feet of the Bangs school district’s bus barn, which is a drug free zone, the press release states.
