The Chatfield Assisted Living in Brownwood extends an invitation to the community to enjoy the sights of Christmas with its Eighth Annual Tour of Trees, which begins with an open house Sunday and continues through December.
The open house, from 2-4 p.m., will include a performance by the Heavenly Ringers, a senior adult handbell group from San Angelo.
The group is made up of 10 ringers from Christian Village, a senior living facility in San Angelo. The group was formed in 2016 with many of its members having never played an instrument or read music. The group has played eight concerts in five senior facilities and has five Christmas concerts scheduled for the holiday season, including the Chatfield.
A dessert buffet, holiday beverage and pictures with Santa will also be available.
This year’s Tour of Trees is expected to boast 38 lavishly decorated, beautiful trees, donated by businesses and individuals and placed throughout the facility, up from last year’s 33.
“We’ve gone up every year,” said Chatfield marketing and admissions coordinator Suzanne Faircloth. “We’ve really been blessed. Everybody’s tree is so different. That’s what makes it really special.
“We’re very grateful. The community has really embraced us. We’re grateful we get to share this with the community.”
