A Brownwood attorney was arrested at the CASA fundraiser concert New Year’s Eve on an allegation that he assaulted his wife, police said.
    Tommy Adams, 54, was booked into the Brown County Jail on a charge of assault causing body injury family violence, jail records state. Adams is free on a personal recognizance bond.
    About 160 people were present for the George Strait tribute concert at the Brown County Youth Fair Expo building when Brownwood police were called at 11:05 p.m. to a report of a domestic disturbance, police said via email.
    “Upon arrival, officer’s investigated a report of a male subject who walked up to a female subject and struck her across the face with his hand,” police said via email. “The female was identified as the man’s spouse. Signs of injury were observed on the female’s face.
    Adams, reached by phone Tuesday morning, declined to comment.
