Brown County Court-at-Law Judge Sam Moss approved a plea bargain Tuesday that sent a Brown County man to prison for 25 years for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Blake Whitehead, 30, pleaded guilty to assaulting two girls under the age of 14 in January 2017, 35th District Court documents state.
According to a complaint filed by sheriff’s Sgt. Scott Bird:
Bird began an investigation after receiving a report by deputy Shade Tidwell. One of the girls made an outcry to a family member that she and the other girl were sexually assaulted by an older man.
The girls went to the man’s house earlier in the month, where they watched movies, played basketball and watched movies. The girls returned to a home where one of the girls lives, snuck out a bedroom window later and went back to the man’s house, where sexual activity occurred.
Bird retrieved text messages from a phone that indicated a relationship between one of the girls and the man.
