    • Assault — Main Street, Blanket. Deputy dispatched on disturbance call, spoke with two individuals. Mandy Hardin, 43, arrested on assault charge.

Wednesday
    • Retaliation — Brown County Jail, inmate threatened serious bodily injury to two female jail staff.
    • Assault — Bluebonnet Drive. A man said his wife assaulted him while they argued. Taylor Carlisle, 20, was arrested on assault charge.

    
Friday, Feb. 16
    • Domestic—Saint Patrick Drive. Tyler Wylie, 25, arrested on charges of criminal mischief and violation of protective order.
    • Theft of firearm — CR 338, Early. Rifle taken from home.
    • Intoxicated person — EZ Mart on Highway 279. Deputy dispatched on report of male subject who was possibly intoxicated and falling asleep in his vehicle at the gas pump. After a pat down, the male subject confessed to having an “illegal pipe” in his left front pocket. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, 0.4 grams, with packaging, of methamphetamine and a pistol, in plain view, were found inside the vehicle. Randy Baskin, 60, arrested on charges of unlawful carrying weapon, possession of controlled substance and DWI.

    • Criminal mischief — Saint Patrick Drive, 2010 GMC pickup damaged, had numerous scratches. Also evidence sugar had been placed in gas tank. Complainant later report several items were missing and said his common law wife had taken the property after being told by deputies not to take any property.
     Criminal trespass warning — Morris Sheppard Drive, issued to husband of an employee at a local business.
    I was dispatched to a local business in reference to a trespass warning being issued.  I met with the Vice-President of the company, who requested a trespass warning be issued to the husband of one of his employees.  The couple is going through a divorce and he wanted to protect his employees.  The husband was located and the trespass warning was issued.  The report follows.

Saturday, Feb. 17
    • Animal cruelty — West Main Boulevard, Brownwood. Man said a named suspect entered his yard, took one of his Chihuahua dogs off its chain, threw it in the road and ran over it with his car, killing it.
    • Assault by threat — Portside Drive, May. Deputies spoke with several people including a female who said a male threatened to “(expletive) her up.”

Sunday, Feb. 18
    • Credit card abuse —  CR 456, fraudulent charge on credit card. No suspect could be identified.
    • Theft — CR 606. Woman said she sent $160 to her aunt via Western Union to buy items from Kroger. The recipient received the money but did not provide the items she was supposed to buy.

Monday, Feb. 19
    • Theft — CR 616, Early. Man said a large sum of money was stolen from him. He believed it might be an unknown male who visited him Sunday.
