The Brownwood Fire Department promoted nine firefighters in a pinning ceremony Thursday at the Depot Civic and Cultural Center.
Three of the promotions came about because of the retirement of Capt. Greg Woodcox. The fire department created three new lieutenant positions for Rescue 9, resulting in three driver promotions.
