MAY — A father-son altercation Monday afternoon at a home near May led to the hospitalization of the older man with non-life-threatening stab wounds and the arrest of the younger man, sheriff’s officials said.
Jeremy Cundy, 26, was taken into custody without incident at the First Baptist Church in May on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon — family violence, the sheriff’s office said. The victim, Orlando Cundy, 50, sustained several stab wounds to his upper body and head and was flown by an Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter to an Abilene hospital.
The altercation occurred at a home in the 2700 block of County Road 411 East, sheriff’s officials said. The sheriff’s office responded at 3:33 p.m.
An offer of food to Jeremy Cundy led to the altercation, sheriff’s officials said.
Cundy remained jailed Tuesday with bond set at $150,000, Brown County Jail records state.
