Early voting in the May 5 city and school board elections begins Monday and runs through Tuesday, May 1.

All early voting takes place in the Brown County Elections Office, located in the courthouse annex building at 613 N. Fisk in Brownwood. Polling hours are:

• Monday, April 23 through Friday, April 27 — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Monday, April 30 and Tuesday, May 1 — 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Voters are casting ballots in three elections: City of Brownwood, Blanket school board and City of Bangs.

In the City of Brownwood election:

• Mayor — Mike Tittle and Stephen Haynes

• Ward 1 city council member — H.D. Jones and Pat McLaughlin

• Ward 4 city council member — Draco Miller (unopposed).

In the Blanket school board election:

• Place 5 trustee — Autumn Hood (unopposed)

• Place 6 trustee — Edwin L. Davis and Robert Menchaca

• Place 7 trustee — Chris Furry and Gayla McLaughlin

In the City of Bangs election:

• Proposition A, for or against — The legal sale of beer and wine for off-premise consumption only
