EARLY — A child, described by Early police as 3-to-4-years-old, is safe after a taking a pre-dawn stroll Monday in the middle of Early Boulevard, police said.

Someone who was driving to work at 3 a.m. in the 1000 block saw the child alone on the highway and notified authorities. Officers contacted CPS and began checking apartments for open doors.

Officers located an open door and made contact with the child’s mother, who had been sleeping. An investigation continues.

Wednesday, April 18

• Loose livestock — Live Oak Drive. Owner was on scene when officer arrived. Cattle put up.

• Fire call — 500 block of Longhorn, Early Fire Department responded. Heat lamp caught dog house on fire next to house. Dog house, privacy fence and exterior of house burned. No damage inside structure.

• Civil matter — walk-in to police department, options provided.

• Accident — 900 block of Early Boulevard, two-vehicle, no injury. Citation issued.

Thursday, April 19

Reckless Driver — 100 block of Early Boulevard, caller reporters 18-wheeler driving erratically. Officers located vehicle, DPS was requested for an inspection and truck was put out of service.

• Suspicious — 300 block of Early Boulevard, car with door open. Driver located nearby.

Friday, April 20

• Unwanted person — 300 block of Early Boulevard, contractor terminated from work.

• Medical emergency — Hillcrest Drive. Lifeguard transported.

• Civil matter — 1000 block of Early Boulevard, options provided.

• Theft — 900 block of Early Boulevard.

• Accident — 800 block of Early  800 Blk Early Blvd. Minor accident, no injuries

• Domestic disturbance — 100 block of Early Boulevard.

• Child abuse — 200 block of Early Boulevard, child left in running vehicle.

• Juvenile problem — 300 block of Early Boulevard, juveniles trying to break out a light.

Saturday, April 21

• Loose livestock — 1500 block of Early Boulevard.

• Traffic stop — 100 block of Live Oak, driver arrested for possession of marijuana.

Sunday, April 22

• Reckless driver — 300 block of North Highway 183,  driver located, no violations.

• Suspicious — 1000 block of Early Boulevard, strong odor coming from an apartment. Search warrant executed  and two arrested for felony possession of marijuana.

• Loose livestock — 1600 block of Early Boulevard.

• Criminal mischief — 100 block of Buffalo Trail. Someone broke out back window on vehicle.

Monday, April 23

• Traffic hazard — C.C. Woodson/Early Boulevard, left turn signal malfunctioning.

• Loose livestock — 1500 block of Early Boulevard, owner located.

• Medical emergency — East 377/FM 3100. Lifeguard transported.

• Loose livestock — 1300 block of Early Boulevard, owner located.

• Fire call — 100 block of King’s Court, electrical fire.

• Domestic disturbance — 700 block of Garmon, no violence, male half is leaving.

• Alarm — 100 block of Early Boulevard, building secure.
