The May session of the Brown County Grand Jury returned numerous drug-related indictments against individuals including five who were arrested in a February drug raid at a Brownwood drug house.

Brownwood residents Rachel Row, also known as Rachel Perez, 34; Lisa Gross, 31; Acey Sliger, 40; Delsie Darnell, 46; and Brian Sims, 44, were indicted on charges of possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, records in District Clerk Cheryl Jones’ office state.

Brown County Sheriff’s deputies, Brownwood and Early police officers and Texas Ranger Jason Shea served the search warrant Feb. 13 9 in the 1900 block of Fourth Street and seized 67 grams of liquid and crystal methamphetamine, law enforcement officials said earlier.

“It was a shooting gallery over there,” sheriff’s narcotics detective Carlyle Gover said after the raid, referring to the used and loaded needles found in the house.

In an unrelated case, Kent Shelburne Jr., 40, of San Angelo, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in a drug free zone after a reckless driver call led to the seizure of 50 grams of methamphetamine.
