Brown County Commissioners began a short agenda Monday morning by voting to reinstate a ban on outdoor burning, then agreed to take no action related to the sale of fireworks during the Fourth of July holiday.

Commissioners noted that by taking no action, they were allowing the sale of fireworks.

In the final matter on the agenda, commissioners authorized Sheriff Vance Hill to accept a $100 donation for the sherif’s office that arrived in the mail. Hill identified the donor as Sandra Childers.
