John Robert Fuller, 69, peacefully passed away April 2, 2918 at home in Phoenix, Ariz.
John has donated his body to medical research to help other people. Cremation will then take place. There will be no public service.
John was born Nov. 16, 1948 tho Frank and Gloria Fuller in San Diego, Calif. He attended school in San Diego, Calif. and moved with his family to Brownwood, Texas in 1961. He graduated from Brownwood High School in 1967 and attended Tarleton State University, Howard Payne University and Howard College in San Angelo, Texas. He also was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was with the Brownwood Fire Department as a firefighter and EMT from 1974 to 1981. He moved so San Angelo, Texas in 1981 and became a firefighter/paramedic/EMS coordinator. He was responsible for medical training and budgeting of the fire department emergency medical services. In 1992 he worked for Denali Universal Services in Anchorage, Alaska and managed remote medical teams on the 800-mile-long Trans-Alaska Pipeline. He retired Aug. 31, 2017. He enjoyed his work in Alaska.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, Robert and Lelia Fuller and Emma Smith, and brother-in-law Richard Oaks.
John is survived by his wife, Cathy Fuller, son, Brian Fuller, daughter, Nisha Fuller, Brother, Mike Fuller and wife, Donna, sisters, Uudy Oaks and Karen Olsen and husband, Ron Olsen, uncle, Richard Fuller and aunt, Frances Kalsow, several nieces and nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can go to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Foundation.
