The execution of a search warrant Thursday morning at a home near East Elementary School resulted in the discovery of nearly half a pound of methamphetamine as well as a stolen car and gun.

Alexander Villareal, 20; Jason Rosas, 28; Pedro Fuentes, 25; and Brandi McDaniel, 34, were each arrested after the Brownwood Police Department and Brown County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home in the 800 block of Norwood Street in Brownwood.

Due to the home being less than 1,000 feet from East Elementary School many of the charges were enhanced. Villareal received a charge of possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, which is a third-degree felony. Rosas received a charge of possession of a controlled substance over 200 grams or under 400 grams with intent to deliver in a school zone and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Fuentes received similar charges as Rosas, but with an additional failure to identify as a fugitive from justice. McDaniel was arrested for an outstanding Brown County warrant, as well as motion to adjudicate/delivery of a controlled substance.

Along with recovering 203 grams of methamphetamine, the BPD and BCSO also recovered a semi-automatic handgun and a vehicle reported stolen out of Dallas County.
