Thefts at Walmart over the Labor Day weekend resulted in at least two arrests, including a 53-year-old Goldthwaite woman who was booked into the Brown County Jail on multiple charges.

Kelly Knight was booked on charges of theft of operate over $100 under $750, fraudulent destruction or removal of writing, three charges of possession of a controlled substance, prohibited substance in a correctional facility and possession of drug paraphernalia, jail records state.

Knight was released on personal recognizance bonds to mental health workers, authorities said.

According to a report by Brownwood police Cpl. Noe Acosta:

Acosta was dispatched to Walmart late Saturday night on a theft report. The suspect failed to identify and gave a false name and identifying information. The suspect was arrested after a thorough investigation, Acosta’s report states.

At the jail, the suspect was found to have multiple narcotics hidden in her clothing and a glass pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamine.

In two unrelated thefts Monday, one person was arrested and two people were issued theft citations. Police responded to another theft report Sunday.
