Greenleaf Cemetery is celebrating its 150th year this year,and Greenleaf Cemetery Association board members seek seek sponsors for several upcoming fundraisers for the cemetery.

Fundraisers in 2017 and 2018 played a large role in the recent progress made at Greenleaf. 

On Saturday, Oct. 27, Greenleaf and the Lyric Theater are partnering to present “The Long, Long Trailer” (1954), “The Whole Wild World” (1996) and “ALUMINATION, a feature-length Airstream documentary, to coincide with the “Texas Country Air” Airstream Rally taking place throughout downtown Brownwood. 

Suggested sponsor levels for this event are  $1,000, $750. 500 or $250.

The Holidsay Trail Of Lights fundraiser at Greenleaf returns this year.

2017 was the first year for the event. and attendance was more than expected.  

This year’s drive through the Trail Of Lights at Greenleaf takes place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14 Saturday, Dec. 15., Friday, Dec. 21, Saturday, Dec. 22 and Sunday, Dec. 23.

Suggested sponsor levels for this event are $5,000 $2,500, $1,500 and $750. 

 The cemetery was established in 1868, and the hard work by the staff and board for the last year has been heavily focused on bringing stability and security to the present and for the future.

Community partners have played a crucial role in the work, progress and recovery.
