A Brownwood man remained jailed Monday in lieu of $150,000 bond after officers served a search warrant Friday in Shamrock Shores and seized methamphetamine.
Donald Skaggs, 43, was charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance over 4 grams under 200 grams, Brown County Jail records state.
Officers with the West Central Texas Interlocal Drug Task Force, assisted by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office,
Department of Public Safety Intelligence Division from Abilene and Brownwood police, seized close to an ounce of methamphetamine, task force commander Billy Schat said.
According to Schat and Sheriff Bobby Grubbs:
Officers executed the narcotics search warrant in the 6200 Block of County Road 551 and discovered a travel trailer parked on the property.
The trailer was not listed in the initial warrant. During the investigation, officers developed information indicating an illegal substance was in the travel trailer. A second search warrant was obtained for the travel trailer.
During the search of the trailer, officers found evidence that a large amount of methamphetamine was being distributed.
Through continued cooperation between agencies, Grubbs said, law enforcement in Brown County continues to address the use and distribution of illegal narcotics.
