Here is a list of fall festivals and Halloween activities scheduled for this week:

TUESDAY - The Brownwood Professional Firefighters Association Local 2863 will sponsor at haunted house at the home economics building at the Brown County Fair Grounds on the Brady Highway. Hours will be from 7 to 10 p.m. The house will be open again Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Cost will be $10 for those age 13 and over, and $5 for youngsters ages 8 to 12. Proceeds wilk benefit the B.J. Carnes Scholarship Fund, and the haunted house fund.

TUESDAY - CARE Nursing Centerís J.C. Haunted House will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. - one night only - at the center, one mile north on U.S. Highway 183 off County Road 616 between the Cisco Highway and Old May Road. Admission is three canned food items for Good Samaritan Ministries or $2 per person. Free hay rides will be given through the centerís 18 acres.

TUESDAY - A fall festival will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church, 1815 Coggin, with hot dogs, popcorn, games, snow cones, drinks and prizes. The public is invited.

WEDNESDAY - Early First Baptist Church is holding a Fall Festival from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Christian Activity Center of the church. The festival is open to the public, and thereís no admission charge. Come for games, prizes, candy and lots of fun.

FRIDAY - CARE Nursing Center will hold a fall festival for residents, apartment tenants, staff and friends at 10 a.m. in the centerís west wing. Pre-kindergarten children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are invited for games, treats and prizes.

FRIDAY - First Baptist Church of Brownwood will host a childrenís pumpkin patch from 6 to 8 p.m. at the activity center. Costumes are welcome for event featuring games, prizes, pumpkin carving and treat bags. Admission is a bag of candy.

FRIDAY - Brownwood Manor will be having their annual Trick or Treat for all the kids in Brownwood held from 6-8:30 p.m. Along with the trick or treating there will be a bake sale, to benefit the bingo activities there at the Brownwood Manor.

FRIDAY - The Vicksburg Retirement Community will be hosting trick-or-treaters from 6 to 8 p.m. at 3020 Fourth St. Come to the doors underneath awning.

FRIDAY - The Texas State Technical College Brownwood Center will welcome trick-or-treaters from 6 to 8 p.m. at the TSTC parking lot.

FRIDAY - Candy will be handed out to trick-or-treaters between 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brownwood-Brown County Law Enforcement Center off West Commerce.
