BANGS — Bangs Business Association members received flyers regarding Propositions I, II and III, which will appear on the city’s May 12 ballot.
Cynthia Johnson said it was important for BBA members to promote the propositions to voters.
“This was one reason our organization was formed,” Johnson said. “In order to establish an economic development board.”

Announced Ronnie and Debbie Zink as the May Yard of the Month recipients while Dream Catcher Promotions was announced as the Business of the Month. Verba Hamrick reported the Special Activities Committee met regarding the fireworks show, scheduled for June 29. The committee has secured $3,590 to purchase fireworks and insurance. Betty Ellis reported that new pictures have been taken and a new format planned for a proposed BBA brochure. The association has a new digital camera. New pictures of business members have been taken and have been placed on the BBA Web site. Jim Cavanaugh won the $25 door prize.
The next meeting will be June 5 at 7 p.m. at the Bangs Community Center.
