Brownwood police are investigating several vehicle burglaries — some involving the loss of high-dollar items — that occurred over the Labor Day weekend.

A Louis Vuitton hand bag valued at $1,200 and a makeup bag valued at $250 were among items taken from a vehicle parked in the 700 block of Oak Trail.

An iPod auxiliary cord, and a box of shotgun shells were also taken.

A $250 pair of sunglasses, a GPS, scrub clothing for massage therapy, and a bag for a laptop computer were taken from a vehicle parked in the 600 block of Roanoke.

An iPod, and iPod shuffle and auxiliary attachments were taken from a vehicle parked in the 600 block of Norwood.

A purse, a briefcase with child custody documents and $50 in gift cards were among items taken from a vehicle parked in the 1900 block of Eighth.

In the 1000 block of Wood, someone took a digital cameral and battery charger, a shotgun and children’s DVDs.

In other incidents:

• Officer Zane Taylor arrested Tina Garza, 26, on a DWI charge after a traffic stop in the 200 block of Avenue B.

• Officer Brian Tompkins arrested Jonathan Reyna, 21, on a charge of possession of marijuana under 2 ounces after he was dispatched to the 500 block of Seventh to check a child’s welfare.

• Officer Brandon Miller arrested Evan Campbell, 19, on charges of possession of a dangerous drug and possession of marijuana after a traffic stop at Austin and Center.

• Officer Chris Hill arrested Homer McNatt, 59, on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after a domestic disturbance in the 800 block of Avenue B. Hill was told a man shoved a case that contained a rifle into another man’s stomach, Hill’s report states.

• Officer Aaron Taylor arrested Byron James, 27, on a charge of possession of marijuana under 2 ounces after a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Avenue I.

• Officer Brandon Arnold arrested Johnny Diaz, 19, on charges of DWI and possession and delivery of drug paraphernalia after a traffic accident in the 1600 block of Sixth.

• Officer Zane Taylor arrested Stephen Gomez, 36, on a charge of possessing inhalants after he was dispatched to the 1600 block of Main.

• Officer Aaron Taylor arrested Efrain Sandoval, 21, on a charge of failure to identify after a traffic stop in the 1100 block of San Benito.
