Snake handler Jackie Bibby of Brownwood will be featured Saturday on a segment of CMT’s new show, All Jacked Up, with C. Thomas Howell as host.

“It’s part of a new series,” Bibby said Tuesday. “It was filmed in Dallas about six weeks ago.”

All Jacked Up made its debut on CMT last weekend featuring Howell, a child rodeo star and a daredevil himself.

“Howell really gets involved with the snakes,” Bibby said of the stunts. “It gets really comical at times. The last line is really funny.”

Bibby holds world records for sitting in a transparent tub with live rattlesnakes and for holding rattlesnakes in his mouth. Under Bibby’s watchful eye, Howell attempts to duplicate those stunts on the show.

“Host Tommy Howell ventures into a snake pit to watch a renowned snake wrangler try to set a world record for the number of rattlesnakes he can put in his mouth,” a notice on the CMT Web site states. “Next, Tommy takes a spin around town on the world's tallest drivable motorcycle. And finally, Tommy's first ride on a farm combine is nearly his last, as he takes a beating in the annual Lind, Wash., Combine Demolition Derby.”

Bibby said Mary’s Cafe will host a watching party beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday. He said the air show’s time is 7:30 p.m., contrary to the 2:30 p.m. air time posted on the CMT Web site.

While he’s achieved international notoriety for his shows, Bibby’s snake handling is a sideline. For the past year, Bibby has been executive director of the Success House in Brownwood, a residential substance abuse recovery facility that was founded by the late Allen Sheffield.
