A Nebraska company will receive an economic development incentive to assist it in beginning a Brownwood operation.
Brownwood City Council members approved an incentive Tuesday that will pay Biovance Technologies, Inc. of Omaha $2,000 for each full-time job created for five years, not to exceed $100,000.
Biovance is buying the former Bluebonnet Feeds manufacturing facility at 3101 Stephen F. Austin. The company will produce animal supplement products beginning around July 1.
The company expects to spend about $400,000 in new equipment and general maintenance and projects it will create 26 full-time jobs within five years.
The city councilís action ratified approval by the Brownwood Economic Development Corporation earlier this month.
