A Brownwood woman was arrested Monday on a felony DWI charge — her second such arrest in five days.

Brenda Thomas, 54, remained in the Brown County Jail Tuesday on a charge of DWI third or more, jail records state.

Thomas was arrested Wednesday last week on an identical charge and released on $10,000 bond.

In Monday’s arrest, deputy John Fincher was dispatched at 2:11 p.m. to County Road 237 on a report of a reckless driver. A motorist called dispatch and reported seeing a Ford F-150 running stop signs, jumping curbs and speeding, Fincher’s report states.

Fincher found the vehicle, with Thomas in the driver’s seat, stopped in front of a gate.

In Wednesday’s arrest, Brownwood police were dispatched to the Brownwood Imaging Center, 105 Streckert, at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, on a report that an intoxicated motorist was trying to leave the parking lot.

Witnesses told police the motorist hit one vehicle and nearly hit another one.
