Performances from several members of the music faculty of Howard Payne University will be featured at a 7:30 p.m. Thursday community concert at First Baptist Church.

The program will include performances by Dr. Allen Reed, Mr. Juan Alamo, Dr. Elizabeth Wallace, Dr. Greg Church, Dr. Robert Tucker, Lance Beaumont, Dr. Celeste Church, Corey Ash, Mrs. Clarissa Tucker, Sam Gray, Pattie Dunlap and Stephen Goacher.

The musicians will perform solos and ensembles drawn from a repertoire of cultivated art music. Composers being performed include Bach, Mozart, Saint-Sa‘ns, Hindemith, Karg-Elert, Verdi, Barber, Poulenc, and an original composition by Howard Payne percussion instructor, Juan Alamo. This program is expected to be one of the highlights of the semester for music at Howard Payne University, officials said.

The concert is open to the public and free of charge.
