Police said a motorist who fled from a traffic stop early Friday morning was caught and arrested in connection with a vehicle burglary that had just occurred.
John Walker, 32, was booked into the Brown County Jail on charges of burglary of a vehicle and evading arrest with a motor vehicle, police and jail officials said. He also faces a traffic violation.
Lt. John Harper said patrol officer Zane Taylor tried to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation shortly after midnight. After a brief pursuit near the courthouse, the suspect left his vehicle and went into an apartment on North Fisk, where he was caught, Harper said.
