Brownwood City Council members will hear several reports Tuesday on topics including an emergency exercise and 21st Cavalry activities at the Brownwood airport.
The council’s agenda packet contains information on the Disaster Assessment Exercise, which will be May 15 in coordination with the Texas State Guard. The exercise will evaluate the guard’s capabilities when dispatched to a civilian community during a disaster.
The exercise will also evaluate the Emergency Operation Center, which will be manned by city and county personnel. Brownwood Regional Medical Center will be involved to evaluate its ability to coordinate a mass casualty event.
Numerous agencies and volunteers will be involved.
