Bulletin staff report

Sales for reserved seat season tickets to the five regular season Early Longhorn home football games will continue through Friday for those who have had reserved tickets in previous seasons.

Reserved seat tickets will be sold to the general public beginning at 8:30 a.m. Monday.

All ticket sales are handled through the Early Independent School District administration building, 1080 Early Blvd. The price of the five tickets — one for each home game — is $25.

Anyone 65 years or older is eligible for a “pass” that will admit the senior citizen to any school athletic, band, music or theatrical activity. But the pass is for admission only, and does not reserve a seat.

The Longhorns’ preseason varsity scrimmages are scheduled for 5 p.m. Aug. 18 at Brady, and at 5 p.m. Aug. 24 at home against Comanche.

The Early Longhorn football season begins this year with a home game against Cisco at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 31.

The next home game will be the district opener against Jim Ned at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 28, which will also be homecoming for the Longhorns.

Early will host Grape Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 12, and then will be home for two consecutive weeks beginning with a game against Coleman on Oct. 26 and against San Saba on Nov. 2.

The San Saba game will be senior night.

The non-district away games for the Early Longhorns’ varsity team will be against Crawford at 8 p.m. Sept. 7, and then against Clyde at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 14.

Sept. 21 will be an open date.

All district games will begin at 7:30 p.m.

District away games will be at Bangs on Oct. 5, at Wall on Oct. 19 and the regular season finale at Ballinger on Nov. 9.
