A man sought by Brown County Sheriff’s officials since for nearly two months on a drug charge was arrested Thursday in Tucson, Ariz.
Four other fugitives in drug cases are at large, sheriff’s Sgt. Tony Aaron said.
Aaron did not have details of the arrest of Jackie Swindall, 24, of Brownwood, who was indicted in August on a charge of engaging in criminal activity.
Fugitives at large are Lisa Cogburn, 19, of Brownwood; Westley Chaney, 32, of Clyde; William Keith Kelly, 39, of Cross Plains; and Darcy Johnson, 49, of Brownwood.
The five were charged as the result of several drug investigations, mostly involving cases of trafficking of methamphetamine from Abilene and the Metroplex into Brown County, Aaron said earlier.
At least 14 people were indicted following the investigations.
