Grayson Wetzel, left, and his father Choc Wetzel unloaded this historic wagon at the Brown County Museum of History Annex last week. Choc Wetzel has donated the wagon to the museum. He acquired it in 1999 for Howard Payne University which wanted it for a display. When the university had no more need for it, Wetzel bought it with the stipulation that proceeds be credited for scholarships through Daniel Baker College exes. The sideboard wagon with wire wheels was built in the 1880s, and Albert Driskell of Tennessee used it to move his family to Texas. They settled 12 miles south of Zephyr. The Diskells used it for ranching and farming for 70 years.
